SUONO

Suono is Bed Stuy’s only underground vinyl HiFi bar, located below Bar Camillo.

Under the direction of DJ and sound engineer Danilo Braca, the space features vintage walnut speakers, originally built in the 1960’s by his father Marcello, founder of the first ever Italian high fidelity magazine called “Suono”. After being hidden away for decades in the countryside outside of Rome, Marcello’s speakers have made their way here, painstakingly refurbished and are now the centerpiece of Suono’s meticulously crafted analog sound system.

We’re open every Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 9-1am, for all-vinyl sessions from some the city’s best DJs.

BOOK YOUR PARTY AT SUONO

PRIVATE SUONO RENTALS

Includes full AV setup, vinyl turn tables, disco ball, retractable movie screen and state-of-the-art sound system. You will have exclusive use of the room, and adjoining bathroom for the duration of your event.

Cash bar with guests ordering a la carte from our SUONO cocktail menu, comprised of our seven current seasonal cocktails, one pilsner, one IPA, one white wine, one red wine, one orange wine, one prosecco, and three non-alcoholic cocktails

Guests can open their own tabs and pay individually for their drinks, or Renter can pay for everything at the end of the event

TIMING: 4hr maximum time frame for event

Starting from noon until 9pm. Hard out at 1am for 9pm events.

FORMAT:

Please choose from the two options below

1) SIT-DOWN DINNER:
For groups of 10-20ppl

-Cocktail hour followed by seated three-course family-style meal 
-Food is $50/person (all on one check)
-We do not offer flat rate beverage packages. All drinks are a la carte.

2) STANDING COCKTAIL or DANCE PARTY:
For groups of 20-40ppl

-Cash bar with guests ordering a la carte from our special Suono drink menu.
-Optional pizza service available, ordered a la carte, served on the bar. Pizza is the only food offered for a standing party.
-During the event, guests can open their own tabs and pay individually.
-No tables or chairs in the space. Seating for approximately 15 guests on the banquette.

MUSIC:
-If you’d like to bring your own DJ, we allow vinyl (two turntables) or digital music (CDJs with a USB connection only)
-No computers, no outside mixers, or any other type of direct connection to our system.
-We can help find a DJ for you ($50 booking fee + DJ fees paid directly to DJ)
-If you don’t have a DJ, we will play our own Suono playlists, or you can send us your Spotify playlists. Genre requests will be accepted prior to the event, individual song requests during the event will not.

-Optional use of retractable movie screen (no cost)

BOOK YOUR RENTAL:

Please fill out the form below with your rental request, and if we can accommodate you on your chosen date and time, you will receive an email with detailed information about our rental package, and a secure link to submit your credit card information. 

$550 room fee is required to book your rental. If you need to cancel after booking, the deposit can be saved and used toward a future event at Bar Camillo or Suono.

$200 non-refundable staffing fee due one week prior to event, or earlier.
